Hey, we ain’t no stinking Third World banana republic where you can bribe a cop for ten bucks. Here, you need tens of thousands of dollars to bribe the lawyer who comes after the cop. We are so much more advanced and civilized. Our bribery is institutionalized. Yet people still act surprised about it. Why? This country is a police state, it is a welfare state, and it is less free than a lot of former commie countries. The only reason to stay here is because we are familiar with how the corrupt system works and we are too lazy to learn a second language. Please don’t feed me that line about how we are still the freest country on earth. If you think the 1st Amendment applies, joke about a bomb at the airport.
