During the trying times immediately following a natural disaster, the rescuers and paramedics that typically provide the initial aid are called First responders. This group of hero's are often first line Police, Fire and Medical practitioner. In a situation as complex and devastating as Haiti, the rescuers typically operate according to a rapidly put together agenda. Now for the sake of arguments, let's assume that the common, everyday person, who is suffering in the streets of Haiti, is the priority.
