The Poor Man’s Arsenal Revisited
Sometime back I posted an article on Survivalist Blog detailing a bare bones set of survival weapons that would allow the survivor to hunt small, medium and large game for the pot, as well as defend the retreat, all for under $350, not an easy task at today’s prices.

Almost as soon as I hit the publish button, my email inbox became flooded by readers suggesting other more expensive firearms or those wanting to ad more weapons to my basic three gun list with some readers becoming downright rude and offensive because I had failed to include their preferred artillery.

And this is true, never doubt it.

But we are, as a society and a country and a world, flirting with a
possibility of things really getting serious. Where outright, literal
survival is becoming a valid concern. And that takes us to a condition
where we, those responsible, have to consider how to protect self,
family, loved ones, home and hearth, and in addition, be able to feed
self, family, etc.

Staying Alive: STARTING OUT WHEN THE SHTF
So you made it to the country, you got your retreat-homestead, and you are ready to survive. You have surely made good progress. But life is not stasis but rather dynamic and you have to go on with your survival program. Some people think that getting a piece of retreat land and some stored food is the end of the struggle. Well, it ain’t. In fact, you are just getting started. What you have done is bestowed upon yourself the honor of proceeding further. It will surprise you how many people will not make the advancement and will fall by the wayside. And that which falls along the wayside is called litter and is recognized as trash. Do not be so stupid as to become trash. Litter is used to make a fire by those smart enough to do it. The smart guy keeps warm and cooks his food and boils his water. The stupid jerk is consumed in the fire. Five hundred people are going to read this. How many will understand it? Survival is an ongoing process. You never quit. It becomes the pattern of your life. It becomes second nature and what you do every day. You get a life support system and you tend it and care for it and live it and try to grow it. It is what you do for a living, in the most basic of terms.

At the time I’m writing this, word is that Congress will NOT be bailing out the big three. One senator, I can’t remember who, put it rather bluntly (and I’m paraphrasing…my mind does not trap everything you know) that the public would not stand for much more, there would be a rising up against it all.

Um…duh!!! There is already a rising up from those that actually pay attention. Not arms as of yet, but a plethora of words and speech. How about they hop on the net and take a look at what the public really thinks…read blogs. It’s not difficult Congress, really.

Keep It Simple Survival!: Without Firing a Shot….
Back in the day, as I posted here somewhere….. the commies hatched a plan to take over America without firing a shot. It really was an ingenious plan, and with Obammy’s election I reckon it’s about 95% complete. Pretty much all that’s left is disarming us peons…..

Anyhoo, I hatched me a plan of my own. Us “peons” can take back our country, also without firing a shot. The commie plan was in list form, so what the hell, I’ll stick with the theme…..
