I am sitting around with my wife and watching the news. Hurricane Gustav is set to hit New Orleans some time tomorrow. Lets hope things go a little bit better than during Katrina. If nothing else people seem to be getting the message to get the heck out because a hurricane is coming. I realized one big benefit of living in an RV is that we could leave with a good amount of our stuff and our residence.

New Orleans Enacts dusk-to-dawn curfew ahead of Hurricane Gustav
The National Guard is preparing to patrol evacuated neighborhoods of New Orleans in face of Huricane Gustav. The Mayor,who screwed up so badly during Katrina, has now instituted a dusk-to-dawn curfew that will be in place until the storm has passed. The curfew will allow them to arrest residents if they are not on their own property.

With Hurricane Gustav about to hit the coast, some analysts are saying that we may see $5 a gallon Gas.

A majority of the Gulf of Mexico’s oil production has been shut down in anticipation of Hurricane Gustav. CNN Money is reporting that 77% of oil output and 37% of natural gas production has been shut down in the Gulf of Mexico.
