The Nation: How Wall Street Wrecked Your Retirement

How Wall Street Wrecked Your Retirement
Those savings–the house and the tax-sheltered retirement accounts–are shriveling up and blowing away. The persons for whom Americans’ savings have been a reliable source of income are the brokers, the lawyers, the account administrators, the whole tribe of Wall Street fee farmers. They get other people’s retirement money regardless of the direction the market may be moving in.

You can’t call it a broken system because it was a bad one from the start. It is failing, just as its critics said it would. And what lies ahead for those whose retirement savings are gone may be a very unpleasant old age.

Know The Lies: North American Union… On Hold For The Next Generation?

North American Union… On Hold For The Next Generation? | Know The Lies - Demistifying Poverty and Disease. What has Socio-economics done for you lately?
“From the right have come attacks based on cultural anxieties of being overrun by Mexican immigrants and fears that cooperation with Canada and Mexico could lead down a slippery slope toward a North American Union,” he wrote. “From the left came attacks based on economic fears of jobs lost due to unfair trading practices.”

Try to find a bank that will open accounts denominated in a variety of foreign currencies. In my opinion, in the long run Swiss Francs will beat Euros and Canadian dollars by a huge margin.

If you can’t convince your wife to buy practical tangibles (guns, tools, etc.) then at least try to get her to see the wisdom of buying either A.) Productive farm land, at a distressed price, or B.) Gold during a dip in what is an otherwise a secular bull market.

I must admit that the intricacies of this subject go far beyond my own expertise. For details on the wide variety of offshore accounts available, refer to the Sovereign Society’s Offshore A-Letter.
