Keep It Simple Survival!: More Loss Of Freedom
I was listening to the radio at work today, and several times I heard a “public service announcement” telling everyone that every structure built, even in unincorporated areas, must be inspected for building code compliance 3 times before it can be occupied!!! What kinda crap is that??!!! Here I thought Texas was one of the last strongholds of “freedom”, and they go and pull this crap on us. Jeez….. So now if you wanna build a straw bale house, or something “off the wall”, you’re probably screwed. Last time I looked in “Das Building Codes”, there was nothing on “alternative” building methods. Meaning you can’t do it. In the city, I guess we’ve pretty much resigned ourselves to that “fact of life”, but now Big Brother has extended his reach to the furthest corners of the state. What complete and utter bull puckey!!!!
