Bush and his fellow oil shale boosters claim that if only Western communities would stand aside, energy companies could begin extracting more than 500 billion barrels of recoverable oil from domestic shale deposits. If only the federal government immediately offered even more public lands for development, the technology to extract oil from rock would suddenly ripen, oil supplies would rise and gas prices would fall.

Anyway, I took my Sig P220 to the range on Sunday and I am very pleased with my purchase. I put 155 rounds of reloads, winchester target, and Wolf rounds through it without any issue. More importantly I hit the paper every time at 25 yards. Look, for you experienced shooters you must be like “Dude, WTF not in the 10 ring! L2shoot!” this is the 3rd time in my life I shot a pistol, so I’m happy with the results.

So another advance warning for people out there is due. Troubled times always have a way of increasing the level of criminal activity. The problem is that there are a lot more criminals out there suffering the same financial difficulties as law-abiding citizens. The criminals out there are and will be even more desperate than in times past. And with their desperation, there comes an increased level of violence associated with their crimes.

I try to avoid gloom and doom on this blog, but staying in touch with the current events is MANIDTORY. My own bank stopped trading yesterday on the stock market and the regulators are now involved. Everywhere we look we see more and more troubles popping up daily. It’s like there is a quickening in negative events. The throttle is stuck wide open and the train is running out of track. It isn’t doom and gloom, it’s hard core reality. I sure don’t want to see it happen, but there’s nothing I can do but prep. I have the basics covered, but I certainly have some fine tuning to do.
